It's been a while, so a little update - more for myself when I read this back in the future than anything. I was recently told that my twilight shift was finishing, which was a bit of a blow, especially as I'm a bit unhappy in my day job now. Applied Kilovolts was light relief after a bad day, and we're all a bit gutted. They have given us a months notice though (very good of them and very much appreciated), and I have been desperately looking for either something to replace it, or something to replace my day job (or even both), and then today I got a phone call from World of Books telling me I could come in for a work trial on Saturday. I will be working from 8 until 4 on Saturdays and Sundays (if the trial goes ok), which I suppose isn't ideal, but needs must. And I will soon have my evenings back.
